Usually a 50 round box can be had at WalMart or Bass Pro Shops for about $12.95. Not now; they're all sold out. Scoured the online sellers and they too have no 9mm ammo at a price suitable for target practice. I'm not paying $.80 a round to shoot at a paper target. That's the price of the rounds I keep in it in case shit gets serious up in here.
So where did all the ammo go? The right wing, loony tune, militia loving, conspiracy theory nuts are apparently hoarding ammo. They are so sure that the government is coming for their guns that not only are gun sales skyrocketing, but the most popular ammo calibers are in short supply. Hell, even some police departments are having trouble finding ammo.
As soon as WalMart has it back in stock, I'm buying all I can get my hands on. Selfish? Hoarding? You betcha. I want to be ready if those wing nuts decide to turn their chatter about "revolution" into action.

Wow...it does make you think what is going on in the world. Is it time for me to buy a gun & ammo and start learning how to shoot one? Despite my brothers being avid hunters and having practiced with small pistols and big shotguns, I never learned how to handle or shoot one. Hmmm...
This certainly is a topsy turvy world.
Wait a second. You may be on to something here. The second amendment doesn't say anything about the right to bear ammo. Maybe that's the answer.
